Devoxx France 2015

Last week I was at Devoxx France 2015. First time for me!

Great people

I would recommand anyone attend to this kind of conference, where you find a bunch of interesting people, from France and abroad. For instance I had the chance to meet gopher @francesc and asking him a ton of questions about Golang, Kubernetes and other stuff around Google.

Great conference

This was a really a great conference, great organization and everything needed to have a good feeling that we are part of something special. And a great community as well.

Great presentations (some less)

This is a special part. As anyone I guess, on friday morning, the keynotes were just awesome! I am really thankful to the devoxx team!

That said, I also attended other presentations which were not as great: presentations just mixing a lot of buzzwords and taking assumptions I would not make myself. And the KISS principle ?

New directions to take

And now, I have to take actions:

• use spring boot actuator
• enjoying monoids in my code
• investigating more on Docker
